Get To Know Them
Alaina has ran 6 marathons and 13 half marathons. She has 4 rescue pets, one of which she captured during a run. She's been a member of the local Savannah Striders Run Club for 3 years and was presented with the Spirit Award last year. Running is her happy place - she runs to feel free and to feel strong.
Andy “The Myth” Tedesco came to road racing late in life and didn't begin competitive running until age 48. In the 15 years since, Andy has run over 400 races with 15+ overall wins at distances up to 15K. Andy is a West Point graduate and former Army Captain and Paratrooper who gets great satisfaction not only from the discipline and competition of road racing, but primarily from the wonderful people he gets to meet on a weekly basis.
As a local Savannah gal, Anna is a mom, wife, sister, aunt, teacher, and student. Anna started her running journey 6 years ago when she decided she would take on “The South’s Toughest Bridge Run!” She hasn’t looked back since and can often be found running with her Pooler crew or Fleet Feet friends. Sticking to her motto, she says “Lace up, and just put one foot in front of the other!”
Brittany, also known as the triple stroller mom, is a certified run coach at Stroller Strong Moms Savannah, and a certified Group Fitness Instructor. She works for Georgia Game Changers, and is part of local running groups 912 Run, RWB, and Pavement Pounders Run Club. You can see her running all over town, with kid music blaring and snacks being passing.
Josh is a proud husband of 18 years and father of five- three boys and twin girls. He slowly started to change his pace when he joined the local F3 Coastal Empire men’s group. Then he drastically changed his pace when his son double-dog-dared him to get moving in November 2019. He's been on a runstreak ever since! He's excited to be a part of Savnanah’s running community and can’t wait to be an ambassador for the Savannah Bridge Run!
Sherry is 75 years young runner and an avid senior community service advocate and runner. She started running 20 years ago as a challenge to improve her health, mind and body. She loves the opportunity to go on early morning runs with friends, watch the sunrise, catch up on the talk and of course, take selfies! She says, "May I always be healthy and have the strength to finish the race."
Tessa is the Training Program Director for Fleet Feet Savannah, an ACE certified group fitness instructor and a RRCA certified running coach. She owns Craving Pavement LLC, a local running group that has free weekly group runs, kids run clubs, and provides personalized training plans for athletes of all levels. Tessa is a wife, mother of two, and an avid local runner.
Tony is a husband and father of two. He ran track and cross country in high school but didn’t start running seriously until about 4 years ago. As co-founder of Pavement Pounders Pooler, he wanted to offer another option in our community and follow his passion for helping others achieve their running and fitness goals, reach their full potential and not only become physically strong, but also mentally.
